While exploring the intrinsic relationship between Persian “Nastaliq” typographic form old Persian manuscripts and the priciples of islamic architecture structure,
The goal was to create a proprietary “Nastaliq” inspired display typeface as well as an icon that could serve as a visual manifesto and for the competition's core contemporary branding, moving beyond standard branding to embody the very essence of the built environment.
The typeface letterforms are cursive and very asymmetrical, which creates a unique contrast with the layout and icon which is inspired by contemporary’s modularity, use of negative space, and simplicity. This resulted in an aesthetic that is both strong and precise, reflecting the foundational geometry and ambitious vision inherent in Persian contemporary building design.
